Use Long Tail Keywords When Researching The Market
There are a lot of methods to make a living on the internet. But regardless of which route you choose, it all starts with market research. You need to find a group of buyers who have a typical problem or desire. Then all you need to do is offer them things that answer the issue or meet the need.
Market research can be separated into two parts - selecting a profitable niche and uncovering long tail keywords inside of that niche. The nice thing about it is that there are quite a few free resources available to do this. Several of the best tools are made available by Google itself. Therefore the first thing to do is subscribe for an account with Google. Once you have completed that, visit Google's search-based keyword tool at www.Google.com/sktool. Type in the terms 'buy, purchase, order, get' (without quotation marks) into the search area. The sktool will list out 800 words or terms that include these buying keywords along with other useful information like amount of competition, searches per month and so on. All you have to do is select the term that you feel is the most suitable for yourself, preferably one that provides no less than 2,500 searches every month.
Next, click the icon that looks like a magnifying glass next to the search term that you have selected. This will take you to Google Insights for Search, another no cost tool from Google at www.Google.com/insights. It will rapidly search the phrase that you have chosen and produce the related data at Google insights. Scroll down to the lower portion of the page and you will see additional related search phrases. Take note of all the related search terms that you discover.
Now you would likely have about 10 buying keyword terms in a specific niche. This essentially suggests that there are folks searching for advice to fix a problem or meet a need in this niche. After that, you should check out further into how big a sector this niche is and get extra key phrase ideas.
Go to amazon.com, ebay.com, magazines.com and clickbank.com. Insert the main keyword associated with the niche into the search field and notice if there are products that are listed in these websites inside of this niche. Odds are you will locate products in all these websites related to your niche. Briefly review a few of the products for ideas - both search phrase ideas and product ideas. Take note of the number of websites listed (it is shown at the top right hand corner of the page). You are targeting keywords with a maximum of 1,000,000 websites. If it is substantially higher than 1 million, then the keyword will be too competitive. Do the exact same thing with each of the search terms that you have and pick those that have fewer than 1 million competing websites.
For each of the keywords you enter into Google, look at the bottom of the SERP and you will see additional suggested related keywords. Simply click on them and you will find a lot more keywords. Drill down into the keywords as deeply as you are able to until you uncover long tail keywords with under 1 million competing websites.
When you have completed your market research well enough, you will at this point have identified a niche with willing buyers along with the long tail keywords (around 10 will work) that they use to lookup in the search engine for information relating to a product to buy.
