Wen hair products are a totally different kind of hair treatment that doesn't consist of shampoo, and recently I tried it to find out if what the ads were promising was actually true. I don't usually do that much for my hair, I shampoo and condition with Suave and don't spend hours to prepare it every day, but I would still prefer to be applying something on my head that isn't damaging it; which is why I decided to try Wen conditioner. 1. Softer Hair:From my very first "application", I reported softer hair, actually before I got out of the bath. In fact right after I put the product into my hair I was able to tell by its creamy texture that it was going to be completely different than a typical shampoo. It does not lather, but it will clean your hair with only the one bottle of sweet almond mint conditioner. It kinda made my scalp tingle whilst I waited to rinse it out, it was really very refreshing. After my hair dried I felt it and was astonished by how soft it was. I was actually a little concerned that it was going to become greasy over time, that it wasn't really cleansing my hair, yet it has not demonstrated any signs of grease, but continues to get softer every time I use it.
2. More Body: One more concern of mine was that the special conditioner was going to weigh my hair down; and even though it feels thicker, it has more body and feels stronger. I don't really do anything extra to my hair, just dry and go, and even without styling it at all I notice a change in the amount of body and bounce it has. My hubby started using it too and we both see a gigantic difference in the feeling and look of his hair.
3. Beautiful Shine: I will not lie and state that my friends have noticed a significant difference in my hair and are complimenting me right and left, actually not one person has said a thing (unless I told them and asked them to feel my hair), but at the same time it has only been one week. Chaz Dean, the creator of this product, says that the more you apply it the greater your hair will get, it won't take month to see results, but it may take a couple of weeks to heal old damage from prior shampoo use. I will say though that my hair is very shiny and feels awesome and has seen much better results than any other hair product I've tried out.
I do not have a ton of cash, don't usually spend a lot of money on my hair, and don't spend hours prepping; but I have made a decision after trying Wen that if I can afford to continue using it, I will not go back to using Suave shampoo. I was pretty happy with the new Suave Almond and Shea Butter shampoo and conditioner, it was probably the best hair product I had tried; but I was shocked to find out that traditional shampoos include detergent in them; that is the reason they lather, and that lather is taking natural oils out of your hair. Wen doesn't have any of the ingredients that harm your hair, but it does clean your hair just fine if not better. The major difference I have seen with my hair after applying Wen for one week is how smooth my hair is; it has tons more body and is full of shine too. So you definitely can believe the Wen hair reviews you hear on the advertisement.
